Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus
A big screen for big plans
A ‘plus’ size made for everyone
The Samsung Galaxy S24+ is in the middle of the Galaxy S24 lineup, between the larger S24 Ultra and smaller S24. The “plus” in this case means a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x flat display that is a touch larger than its predecessor, but on top of the vivid colours, you get a brighter panel and Vision Booster, a new feature that reduces glare when viewing the screen in sunlight. An adaptive 120Hz refresh rate ensures smoothness for any app or task on the device.
To keep your Galaxy S24+ looking as good as new and to enhance its durability, a case that complements its size and features can be a smart addition. It not only protects against the usual wear and tear but also gives you the chance to personalize your device to match your style.
Running on the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor, the Galaxy S24+ is equipped to handle the most demanding tasks, be it editing photos to treating it as a mobile gaming device. RAM options range between 8GB to 12GB, while storage is a choice between 256GB and 512GB, delivering the memory and space necessary to get creative with this device. This powerful combination is enough to drive the advanced AI features that truly change how you use a smartphone as a helpful tool.
Note that there is no S Pen support with the Galaxy S24+, as it’s only compatible and included with the Galaxy S24 Ultra.
What does that ‘+’ get you?
The gap between the Galaxy S24+ and Galaxy S24 closes a little every year, but the most obvious difference is the size of their respective screens. The Galaxy S24 has a 6.2-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2x, making it a smaller alternative to the Galaxy S24+. It’s also higher resolution as a QHD+ display compared to the FHD+ display on the smaller model. They otherwise share the same overall design traits, including flat displays, rounded corners, colour variants and camera arrays.
Samsung also managed to squeeze in some additional battery power into this phone, raising it from 4,700mAh in the previous Galaxy S23+ to 4,900mAh in the Galaxy S24+. That’s significantly larger than the 4,000mAh battery in the Galaxy S24, which amounts to longer average battery life per charge. Moreover, the larger S24+ is compatible with chargers up to 45W compared to the 25W limit on the smaller S24. Samsung does not include wall chargers in the box, so the wattage refers to maximum charging speed based on separately sold chargers from Samsung and other third-party brands.
AI features take it to another level
The Galaxy S24+ comes with a series of new AI features capable of delivering unique and helpful experiences for any smartphone. Real time translation comes in two particular modes, Live Translate and Interpreter. With Live Translate, you can speak with anyone in up to 13 languages (more coming) through two-way communication that works during phone calls. It’s never been easier to use a Samsung smartphone to make plans or connect with loved ones in spite of language barriers. Interpreter can quickly translate in-person live conversations through a split-screen view on the Galaxy S24+ screen that displays the text in both languages as each person speaks — and needs no cellular data or Wi-Fi connection to work.
Note Assist can use AI to summarize and create templates for your notes, while Transcript Assist transcribes voice recordings turning speech to text, which can work really well for lectures, speeches and interviews.
Circle to Search is another AI feature that enhances a Google search by looking up anything you circle or highlight on an image, regardless of where the photo came from. It’s an easier way to learn about a landmark or find out where clothing or a particular object might be sold.
For photos, Galaxy AI editing tools bring a heightened level of interaction and creativity through features like Edit Suggestion and Generative Edit, where you can choose to apply edits the AI suggests or take it upon yourself to do it your way in ways never done before on a Samsung device.
