Cook up a storm with a Cuisinart toaster oven

What is a Cuisinart toaster oven and what can you make in one?

Cuisinart toaster ovens are small countertop appliances that can be used to make a variety of foods. They aren’t just for toasting; you can use them for baking, broiling, proofing bread, steaming, poaching, and more.

Finished in stainless or brushed stainless steel, they have a 0.6 cubic-foot interior and a combination of knobs, buttons, and/or a digital display.

Accessories include a removable crumb tray for easy clean-up, and various cooking options and temperature settings are available, depending on the model.

Cuisinart toaster ovens can help cut cooking time by up to 40% and use little to no oil, making cooking healthier with increased moisture retention.

You can make a variety of foods in a Cuisinart toaster oven, like a whole chicken or 12” pizza, toast, bagels, and vegetables. You can also defrost and re-heat food without drying it out, proof homemade bread dough, and make virtually anything you might in a larger oven.

What is the difference between a Cuisinart convection toaster oven and a Cuisinart air fryer toaster oven?

A standard Cuisinart toaster oven, including a combo stream and convection model, a convection oven, and a convection toaster oven broiler, can make a variety of foods using various cooking modes, like steam, poach, bake, broil, reheat, warm, and so on.

A Cuisinart air fryer toaster oven does all of this as well, but adds pre-sets to fry foods like chicken wings, chicken nuggets, vegetables, and more, using little to no oil and high heat air flowing evenly throughout the oven. It even has a function for dehydrating food. It comes with an air fryer basket along and dishwasher-safe baking pan.

What to look for in a Cuisinart toaster oven

When choosing a Cuisinart toaster oven, consider what you plan to make in it. If you just want toast in the mornings or to make pizzas or chickens, a standard convection toaster oven will do. If you think you might want to experiment with air frying, opt for the air fryer model.

Look at the different cook functions available as well as the button design and digital display to ensure it is easy to understand and use. See what accessories it comes with as well: some models, for example, come with a wire rack, baking pan, broiling rack, and crumb and drip tray.

Some have a steam clean option which will make clean-up a breeze, and some even have a defrost function which is great for heating frozen foods in a pinch. A large viewing window is helpful so you can keep an eye on the cook without having to open the door.

A neat feature in some models is called Always Even Shade controls which makes sure that your toast or other foods are evenly browned, along with Exact Heat Sensor that controls the heat.

Other useful features include a timer, keep warm function, and non-stick interior.
