What makes the Galaxy Buds 2 different?

Like other Samsung Galaxy earbuds, the Galaxy Buds 2 are true wireless ones where there are no cables or wires connecting them together or to another device. They are successors to the Galaxy Buds+, and include features not previously available in those earbuds.

New comfort for the Galaxy Buds 2

The Galaxy Buds 2 are 10% smaller than the Galaxy Buds+, and that should make them more comfortable to wear for longer periods. The smaller frame comes despite improved hardware underneath, leading to a nice combination of comfort and performance that isn’t always easy to achieve.

These earbuds come with three different sizes of silicone ear tips, though they do use a standard holder that can fit with other types, including foam tips. The Galaxy Wearable app can help you find the best fit for you to maximize the audio output you get from them. With a tighter seal, you can passively isolate noise to keep it out, while also keeping more of the sound you want in, particularly when watching a video or listening to music, podcasts or audiobooks.

Turn on active noise cancellation and you can block out more of the unwanted background noises, made even easier when you maintain a snug fit in your ears. The Galaxy Buds 2 have little water resistance, so are not made for rigorous or active situations.

Who are the Galaxy Buds 2 best for?

You don’t have to be born with small ears to enjoy the Galaxy Buds 2, but if you do have less space there, these earbuds may fit just right. Samsung designed these earbuds to fit everyone, so if it’s comfort you’re after, the smaller size may feel less present than another larger pair might.
