Samsung has something to plug your ears

What headphones or earbuds does Samsung make?

In the last few years, Samsung has increased its focus on audio products, especially wireless earbuds. Subsequent launches have spread out the lineup, offering some variety based on both comfort and colour. The earbuds fall under Samsung’s Galaxy product ecosystem, but they are not exclusive to Samsung’s Galaxy products, meaning you can use them with other devices, including those made by Apple.

The Samsung Galaxy Buds Pro are the flagship pair. They offer the broadest set of features, including active noise cancellation (ANC) and Voice Detect, among others. From there, the Galaxy Buds2 are a step below, offering many of the same core features, while also prioritizing fit and comfort.

Comfort is the primary focus for the Galaxy Buds Live. These bean-shaped earbuds are designed to not stick anything into your inner ear canal, resting instead on the antitragus and concha to stay in place. By not “plugging” the ears completely, the Buds Live are meant to feel more open and unfettered.

If you prefer to plug in, you can also opt for Samsung’s USB-C earphones engineered by AKG. You won’t need to pair or connect wirelessly to use them. Just plug them in and listen to your favourite content anytime.

What Galaxy Buds are designed to do

All Galaxy Buds are Bluetooth wireless earbuds. They don’t have cables connecting the two sides together, nor do they need you to plug anything in to play audio content. You pair them with your phone, tablet or computer and then listen to any audio, be it music, video, podcasts, audiobooks, etc.

They do each come with their own charging cases, which also have their own batteries to recharge the earbuds a limited number of times before they also need to recharge. The cases also support both USB-C and wireless charging for speed and convenience. Samsung’s Galaxy Wearable app allows you to see how much battery life is left, though there is also integration with Android devices to show you, no matter what you’re doing on your phone or tablet.

The Galaxy Buds Live have an open-fit design, so there is not as much to adjust for fit with them. The Galaxy Buds Pro and Buds2 use silicone ear tips, which come in different sizes. Try them all out, and you will hear which ones give you the best combination of comfort and sound.

From a stylistic perspective, they also come in different colours, some of which may match a Galaxy smartphone or tablet. While black and white are common options, other colours vary, depending on the model of earbuds or headphones.

The features Samsung headphones offer

When paired with Samsung devices, you may get additional features not available on other devices. One of these is Auto Switch, where you can be watching a movie on a Galaxy tablet, and then answer a call on your Galaxy phone without doing anything because the switch happens automatically.

The latest Samsung headphones and earbuds offer more than just ANC to block out background noises. Ambient sound lets you hear your surroundings without removing the earbuds. Voice Detect on the Galaxy Buds Pro can lower audio volume once you start talking, so that you can converse without removing the earbuds or pausing music. They also offer 360 Audio with Dolby Head Tracking technology, which simulates surround sound effects within your ears.

In the Galaxy Wearable app, you can adjust various settings, and also set up Find My Buds to track them down in case you misplace or lose them. There are equalizer settings to adjust how music sounds, as well as a gaming mode when you want lower latency.
