    Good Heat, Annoying Display/Buttons

    Reviewed by AK - December 10, 2020

This heater works really well, but has some annoying features. First of all, It uses the type of buttons that sense when your finger is covering it, rather than a physical button you press, and I find them overly responsive. I often "press" buttons I didn't intend to just by having my hand near them. Also, the LCD display is not ideal if you're using the heater in your bedroom at night. I had to cover it up because it's too bright and lights up my entire room in bright green. Overall, I appreciate that it does what it says it will, but I wish I purchased a different heater. At the very least, I wish it came with a remote considering how much it cost.

Great heater with sufficient heat and can be quiet

    Reviewed by subzerohf - June 23, 2020

This unit looks great and the build quality is high. It generates enough heat for my basement guest room, which is 200 ~ 300 sq. ft. It can be completely silent - if you turn off the fan. But with the fan off it is not as powerful as it can be. I usually turn it on at maximum with the fan for the first hour. It raises the room temperature quickly by a few degrees. Then I switch to eco mode, which most definitely turns off the fan. The only thing missing is a remote control. Nowadays most portable fan or heater comes with a remote. Why not this one? Delonghi probaly thinks that this is a set-and-forget unit. Except it is not. The fan makes quite the difference in terms of heat and noise. I need a remote.

Gives out high frequency noise when idle

    Reviewed by Ling - November 3, 2020

The heater looks nice and is quiet when it's running. However, it sometimes gives out a faint high frequency noise when it's in idle. It really bothers me and some times I have trouble falling asleep because of that. Would not recommend unless you are a deep sleeper.

    No Earth wire on Plug

    Reviewed by Alex - January 5, 2021

Everything is good except there is NO EARTH WIRE on plug, which this heater is made of metal shell. Normally if the metal shell of the household appliance especially over 1000W (this heater is 1500W) is charged due to the damage of the insulator, the grounding pin will form a grounding short-circuit current, so that the metal shell of the household appliance will be grounded and discharged to the ground, so that people will not be electrocuted, thereby protecting the safety. If this could be improved, that will be better with a higher safety level.

    Elegant. Efficient.

    Reviewed by Beav - November 28, 2022

This is a very stylish heating device. Underneath the elegant skin it has good design with not only a passive heating element, but forced-air assist with built-in fan. Great features on the control panel let you configure the way you want. Heat's up an 800sq.ft. unfinished basement in about 6hrs from 15deg C to 20deg C. Better than any previous comparable product I have owned. Over next several winter months I will test the reliability aspect of the heater and report back.

    Very pleased.

    Reviewed by Dano - December 3, 2019

We use this heater for a bedroom that is used for birds. We keep it on the 500w 'low' setting and set the thermostat so it shuts off just above room temp. It keeps the birds in a very constant and comfortable temperature. It's nice that you can wall-mount although we haven't used it that way. I love this style of heater because it pulls cool air in the bottom and lets natural convection push warm air out the top. Very happy and will probably buy another.

Only Useful With Fan On (and even then lame)

    Reviewed by Chilly - February 15, 2021

I regret buying this. If you have a chilly room you expect to heat with this thing, look elsewhere. Unless you're planning on sitting on it, it's not going to keep you warm. I'm not sure of the conditions of all the other reviewers, but this heater is lame. If it's not on full it's useless. I live in a small, chilly basement suite and it can't warm up my 150 sq foot living room with this thing unless it's on high. When I use the ECO mode, which is supposed to maintain a constant heat, it seems to only recognize the temperature within a foot of the unit, so it switches to a lower setting and turns the fan off. Without the fan, this thing is completely useless... it's just a big white thing that's somewhat warm. I suppose if I was to place my body across it, I would warm up. Perhaps I'm using it wrong. Also the fan is at least as loud as my 10 year old heater I was hoping to replace. The heat that it is generated without the fan is, in a word, pathetic. I figure that if you have a room that isn't particularly subject to being chilly, it might work. In my basement, it doesn't put a dent in things. My old heater is much better, and I regret buying this model. Overall, this thing is disappointing, noisy, expensive and fairly large, especially given its lackluster performance. I should have spent the money on some warm clothes. Was a waste of time even setting it up and now I'll have to pack it up and take it back.

    One of the best orders

It’s been almost 10 years. This heater is still good and running perfectly. Highly recommend. Good size and easy store. Quickly heating the room during the winter time when the central heating system does not reach the far end of the upper floor room.

    Disappointed

    Reviewed by Vicphonic - November 23, 2023

Where to start? The feet come with wood screws to attach them to metal which are barely adequate and leave the feet loose. I’m afraid that tightening anymore will cause them to strip out of the holes. The power cable won’t stay in the power socket despite the socket being brand new. This is a very dangerous situation as the plug should be fully inserted for safety. As others have noted, there is barely any heat. I might return this, which is too bad as it seemed promising for my bedroom.
