The LCD panel is bonded directly to the protective glass touch layer for improved clarity when compared to conventional screens. An internal anti-glare filter reduces sunlight reflections for easier viewing and safer driving.

A big screen for challenging dashboards
While large displays are becoming the norm in late-model vehicles, many older cars don't have enough space in the dash for a large video screen. No problem with the XAV-AV8500. The chassis of the receiver fits into a single-DIN opening, so it will work with many different vehicles. With this big 10.1" screen installed, you'll easily see all your media info, with convenient control buttons lining the bottom of the screen for good measure. You also get all the latest smartphone interfaces such as Bluetooth®, Apple CarPlay®, and Android Auto®.
Perfect viewing every time
This Sony offers 4-way adjustment — side to side and up and down — during the installation. After you've installed the screen, you can tilt and swivel the monitor 15 degrees in either direction, for both horizontal and vertical angle adjustment, so you'll enjoy perfect viewing from the driver's seat and avoid reflection of the direct sunlight.

Android Auto (wired and wireless): Android Auto integrates the Android platform into your driving experience in a non-distracting way. You'll have voice-control access to Google Maps, weather, music, your phone, and text messages, plus easy access to many of your favorite apps.
Apple CarPlay (wireless): CarPlay integrates your iPhone® into the driving experience, putting iPhone content at the driver's voice command with minimal distraction. That means easy access to your music library, your phone, messages, navigation, and many third-party streaming music apps, too.
High-quality wireless audio streaming
This Sony supports audio playback via Bluetooth®, but goes a step further than most receivers by supporting AAC and LDAC in addition to regular Bluetooth streaming codecs. AAC offers better audio performance of the music streamed from your iPhone®, while LDAC streams audio from compatible Android OS devices at much higher bitrates than conventional Bluetooth.
Add on the accessories you need
You'll find a USB-C input for keeping your phone charged or playing back files from a flash drive – including FLAC audio and a variety of video file types. With three camera inputs, you can add an optional backup cam, dash cam, and side-view cam to the mix, so you'll stay relaxed even when backing into the tightest parking spots. A micro-HDMI input lets you connect an external A/V device, like a DVD or Blu-ray player.

iDatalink Maestro lets you keep your factory extras
The XAV-AX8500 offers compatibility you won't find in many other aftermarket radios, thanks to the iDatalink Maestro module (not included). In a wide selection of vehicles, this module lets you keep factory features that you might otherwise lose when you install a new radio. Depending on your vehicle, you'll also be able to check out engine performance data and other vehicle info on the receiver's screen.
