Low Price Guarantee
With our Low Price Guarantee you can shop knowing you'll find the best price at Best Buy, all year round. If you find a lower price with another retailer or authorized dealer online, in-store, or in print, before you buy or within 30 days of your purchase, we’ll gladly match that price. Should our own price be reduced after your purchase, present us with your original receipt within 30 days of purchase and we will match the price and refund you the difference.

Lowest Price of December Guarantee
This guarantees that the price of any product with a "Lowest Price of Dec." badge won’t go any lower at Best Buy throughout the month of December 2024, including the Boxing Day Sale. If Best Buy lowers the price during December, we'll refund you the difference—all you'll need to do is follow the steps of our "Requesting a Price Match" to request the refund.
Year-round Low Price Guarantee
This guarantee ensures you'll find the best price at Best Buy, all year round. If you find a lower price with another retailer or authorized dealer online, in-store, or in print, before you buy or within 30 days of your purchase, we’ll gladly match that price. Should our own price be reduced after your purchase, present us with your original receipt within 30 days of purchase and we will match the price and refund you the difference.
Products that qualify for our Low Price Guarantee
The product you’re comparing must meet the following criteria to qualify:
- The product must have the exact same brand name and model #
- The product must be priced in Canadian Dollars and include all environmental fees, shipping costs, and other charges
- The product must be sold and shipped by a retailer AND authorized dealer located within Canada
- The following types of sellers do not qualify for a price match:
- Marketplace sellers on websites such as Bestbuy.ca, Amazon.ca or resellers such as eBay.ca
- Any sellers whose products are refurbished or liquidated
- The following types of sellers do not qualify for a price match:
- The product must be in stock, available for sale, and cannot be a limited time offer, pre-order, or available only in limited quantity
- The product’s price must not be lower due to an advertising error, misprint, or special sale price
Special sale prices include: Black Friday, Black Friday Month, Black Friday Prices Now and Early Black Friday Sales, Friends and Family, Members Only Pricing, Ultimate Smartphone Sale, Cyber Monday, Boxing Day/Week, Black Friday in Summer, Black Friday in July, pre-orders, point-of-sale activation cards, special educational prices, restricted offers, mail order offers, rebates, coupons, premiums, free or bonus offers, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) prices, close-outs, liquidations, clearances, demos, refurbished items, open box items, financing offers, and trade-in offers.
Requesting a price match
If you’ve already bought the product:
In Store: If you've already made your purchase in-store, you'll also need to make your price match request at a Best Buy store. Remember to bring the flyer, advertisement, or web address of the lower-priced product with you, as well as your original receipt.
Online: If you've bought something online, you can request a price match online or by phone. To make your request online follow these two easy steps:
- You will need to Find your order
- Next, go to the order details page, and select “Contact Us.”
If you haven’t bought the product yet:
Since you haven’t made your purchase yet you can visit any store to request a price match. If you qualify, they’ll be able to discount your purchase on the spot. Remember to bring the flyer, advertisement, or web address of the lower-priced product with you.
Low Price Guarantee for Quick and Easy Store Pickup orders
If you purchase an item at BestBuy.ca, and if the item is offered at a lower price in the store when you pick it up, you will automatically pay the lower price.
Low Price Guarantee for Pre-orders, Backorders and Items Scheduled for Delivery
The Low Price Guarantee does not apply to pre-orders from other retailers. But if the price of an item at Best Buy drops before or at the time of shipment, you will automatically pay the lower price. You're not charged until the time of the product's shipment.
Low Price Guarantee for Marketplace Items
The Low Price Guarantee only applies to items sold and shipped by Best Buy Canada and does not apply to items sold and shipped by Marketplace sellers, including Best Buy Business. The Low Price Guarantee also does not apply to items sold by marketplace vendors on competitor sites.
Low Price Guarantee for products bought in New Brunswick
As of June 1, 2017, the government of New Brunswick has mandated that the Environmental Handling Fee (EHF) must be included in the price for qualifying products, as shown on the receipt. That means when you look at your paper receipt in-store or the online invoice on BestBuy.ca, the price you see will include the EHF, instead of having the EHF listed separately.
This may make the price look higher than it actually is. The Low Price Guarantee only price matches against a product's actual price, not including the EHF. To see a product's actual price check the store shelf price tag, online product description page, cart, or checkout summary page -- these will all show the price without the EHF.
This policy only applies to EHF-eligible products sold in New Brunswick Best Buy stores or online purchases that are shipped to New Brunswick.
