Taking better photos with the iPhone 11 Pro Max

The iPhone 11 Pro Max includes Apple’s first ever triple camera system, which can now shoot from further away without moving a step back. The new 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens can capture up to four times more scene compared to the standard 12-megapixel wide-angle lens. Its 120-degree field of view is always available to see what’s happening beyond the standard frame, where a simple tap snaps a photo from the ultra-wide perspective.

The 12-megapixel Telephoto lens zooms in for a closer look at your subject without stepping forward. Portrait mode now blurs the background for more than just people when you engage it to take photos of pets or objects.

Night mode is also new and uses the phone’s processing power and machine learning to automatically capture more light and detail in low-light photos. Smart HDR recognizes people in the frame and does more to improve highlights and shadows for natural-looking tones.

Shooting more video with the iPhone 11 Pro Max

The iPhone 11 Pro leverages the A13 Bionic processing power to record video in 4K resolution at 60fps, with more dynamic range and cinematic-style stabilization. The ultra-wide lens plays its own role, offering extra space to crop later on when you want to key in on the action onscreen.

QuickTake is a new feature where you can start a video without having to switch modes by just holding your finger on the shutter button. Staying in focus when tracking a moving person or object is more precise to make it easier to follow along without having to refocus.

The new 12-megapixel TrueDepth camera captures slow-motion selfie videos at 120fps or 4K clips at 60 fps. All-new Slofies create a dramatic scene when shooting selfie videos in slow-motion. Rotate the iPhone 11 Pro Max to landscape mode for selfie photos and the camera automatically zooms out to get more into the frame.
