Best Buy Update

We know our customers are relying on us to support technology needs in response to the current situation.

With the well-being of our team members and customers in mind, we have adapted our retail operations:

  • We have reduced our national store hours – Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile Stores – to 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. (with some local variations)
  • We are limiting the number of people in our stores in accordance with social distancing recommendations
  • We are offering limited services within the store. Customers arriving at a store to find a specific product will be escorted by an advisor with the goal of completing an expedited visit while adopting social distancing guidelines. We continue to offer reserve online and pick-up in-store, as well as In-Store Geek Squad Services
  • We are accepting only cashless payments
  • In-home Advisors are offering only virtual consultations
  • In-home Geek Squad services will be suspended
  • We have three Best Buy Mobile kiosks which will temporarily close
  • We are doing these things, while adopting hygiene best practices

Customers will still be able to order on BestBuy.ca and have their products—including appliances—shipped to their homes.

The situation that we’re facing together is unprecedented. New information is available to us each day, and with that information, we are making decisions to support the safety and well-being of our team members and customers, while still being able to deliver the products and services that Canadians need during these challenging times.
